Im Projekt incora – Inwertsetzung von Copernicus-Daten für die Raumbeobachtung wurde im Frühsommer 2022 eine Dashboard-Anwendung zum Monitoring von Nachhaltigkeitszielen der Flächeninanspruchnahme veröffentlicht. Im Fokus der Anwendung steht das Monitoring der Siedlungs- und Verkehrsflächenentwicklung und baulich geprägter Flächen. Im Projekt wurde hierfür eine neue Datenquelle aus Sentinel-2-Landbedeckungsklassifikationen erstellt und weiteren Datenquellen aus dem amtlichen Geobasisdatenwesen und Erdbeobachtungsdaten der Europäischen Union gegenübergestellt. Mit ausgewählten Indikatoren werden die Menge der neu in Anspruch genommenen Fläche sowie die Lageeigenschaften dieser Flächen im Hinblick auf städtebauliche und umweltbezogene Zielsetzungen bewertet. Das incora-Dashboard bietet mithilfe von datenjournalistischen Visualisierungen von Indikatoren in thematischen Karten und der Gegenüberstellung der Geoobjekte der Eingangsdaten die Möglichkeit, gesellschaftspolitische Fragestellungen zur Interpretation der Flächeninanspruchnahme in Deutschland zu veranschaulichen und zu versachlichen.
In early summer 2022 a new dashboard application on monitoring targets related to sustainable land take was published. The dashboard is a main product of the project incora – Adding value to spatial monitoring with Copernicus data. The project focused on the analysis of land take for new urban land and transport infrastructure and the monitoring of built-up-areas. The dashboard contrasts the possibilities of a new data source derived from Sentinel-2 land cover classifications developed in the project against data sources from official institutional geodata and earth observation data sourced from the European Union. Selected indicators help to assess the quantity and locational qualities of newly developed land in terms of town planning and environmental objectives. The incora-dashboard offers visualizations of thematic maps and their underlying geo-objects based on methods of data journalism. It therefore helps to objectify and make sociopolitical questions for the interpretation of land take data in Germany more tangible.
