Parametric and computational design processes will evolve and inform the field of landscape architecture. This paper investigates a bottom-up teaching approach about parametric design to novice landscape architecture students as a viable method in their design pursuits. Using a case study, students explored a translation of an intuitive approach to design into a parametric script, taking them through concept ideation, fabrication, and ultimately informing implementation.
