Space geodetic methods are well established and of great importance for geodesy. They are very complex since many disciplines of physics are involved, like classical mechanics, electrodynamics, relativity and quantum physics. Because of the ongoing progress in physics and, subsequently, in technical applications it is worth it to look at these developments in detail in order to improve the single components of the space geodetic methods.
