Der vorliegende Artikel untersucht die bestehenden Ansätze zur Spezifikation und zur Simulation von Prozessen in Raum und Zeit sowohl aufseiten der Simulationstechnik als auch aufseiten der GIS. Anschließend werden die grundsätzlichen Möglichkeiten einer Integration von Simulationsmethodik und der Behandlung von Dynamik in Raum und Zeit in einem geographischen Raum sowohl auf methodologischer als auch auf Softwareebene analysiert. Eine allgemeingültige Empfehlung für ein bestimmtes SW-System gelingt jedoch nicht. Vielmehr stehen am Ende des Artikels drei Anforderungskomplexe, deren Umsetzung eine Problembezogene Behandlung von raumbezogenen Simulationsaufgaben vereinfachen und auch für Personen des Anwendungsfeldes handhabbar machen könnten.

This article examines the existing approaches to the specification and simulation of processes in space and time both on the side of simulation technology and on the side of GIS. Subsequently, the basic possibilities of an integration of simulation methodology and the treatment of dynamics in space and time in a geographical space are analysed on both methodological and software levels. However, a generally valid recommendation for a certain SW system is not possible. Rather, the article ends with three requirement complexes whose implementation could simplify the problem-related handling of spatial simulation tasks and also make them manageable for persons in the field of application.
