The SIntegraM Stairway to Integrative Spatialisation: Removing the Barriers to Access and Harmonisation

Data integration is a complex construct to enact, and spatial data posits further barriers to be overcome. The Maltese case study that culminated in the SIntegraM project depicts such an effort aimed at changing an entire country’s data structures, basemapping and analytical processes. The transition from a hoarding reality to an open and big data structure is seen as positing an example for spatial data integration and operational implementation.
