Bilder können durch Neue Technologien eine Reformierung der Bürgerbeteiligung erzielen. Probleme der Kommunikation und Informationsvermittlung aktueller Beteiligungsverfahren und die Integrationsstrategie des eGovernment bildet die Grundlage für eine interaktive Augmented-Reality-Anwendung (AR = erweiterte Realität), die prototypisch in einem kooperativen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekt zwischen der Hochschule Anhalt und dem Fraunhofer IFF in Magdeburg entwickelt wird. Ziel ist die Entwicklung einer vereinfachten Kommunikation zwischen Experten und Laien.

The public participation process concerning buildings of public interest can be reformed using new technologies. Current participation processes show deficits in communication and providing of information. Within the joint research project ArchKM-AR from Anhalt University and the Fraunhofer Institute IFF Magdeburg, a prototype for an interactive Augmented Reality Application with the objective of simplifying communication between experts and lay persons is being developed. The paper first defines the general task of current participation and communication processes and then shows the opportunities given by new communication technologies. The functional focus of this approach is applying Augmented Reality in combining 3D Models with the camera image of mobile tablet PCs. Using the description of the communication process, the paper also describes the opportunities of Augmented Reality Technology. The application is intended to support E-Government processes. Governmental administrations may provide these digital inter¬actions on the internet in order to provide participation services to citizens more easily and with less barriers.
